Poltamnews.com |Pangkalpinang – Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the main drivers of the community-based economy. For this reason, PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the growth and independence of MSMEs within its operational areas.

PT TIMAH Tbk’s support for MSMEs is implemented comprehensively through the provision of business capital, capacity-building training, assistance with production equipment to help MSMEs scale up and become more competitive, as well as product promotion and marketing support.

As a company that consistently carries out its social responsibility, PT TIMAH Tbk places MSMEs as one of the key pillars in community economic development. Through the Micro and Small Business Funding Program (PUMK), the company has consistently provided access to financing for MSME actors so they can sustainably develop their businesses.

The PUMK program of PT TIMAH has supported 10,265 MSME actors from 2000 to June 2025, spread across the Provinces of Bangka Belitung Islands, Riau Islands, Riau, West Java, Banten, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Beyond capital assistance, PT TIMAH Tbk actively organizes various training and mentoring programs, ranging from financial management, product quality improvement, packaging, to marketing strategies, including the use of digital platforms. These training initiatives aim to enhance the capacity of MSME actors so they can adapt to market developments and consumer demands.

In addition, the company also provides production equipment assistance tailored to the specific needs of each MSME. This support is expected to increase production efficiency, product quality, and business volume, enabling MSMEs to expand their market reach and increase income.

In 2025, the company has distributed production equipment assistance to 23 MSMEs across various business sectors such as culinary, livestock, handicrafts, and others.

PT TIMAH Tbk also provides promotional opportunities for its fostered MSME products through participation in various exhibitions, bazaars, and national and regional events. This initiative is part of the company’s strategy to help MSMEs expand their market access.

Department Head of Corporate Communication of PT TIMAH Tbk, Anggi Siahaan, stated that through the integrated PUMK program, PT TIMAH Tbk hopes to create tangible economic impacts for the community while encouraging the growth of resilient, independent, and sustainable local entrepreneurs.

“This commitment aligns with PT TIMAH Tbk’s efforts to support inclusive economic development and contribute to improving the welfare of communities around the company’s operational areas,” said Anggi.

One of PT TIMAH Tbk’s fostered MSME partners, Yuliana, shared that she has experienced many benefits since becoming a partner, including wider product marketing reach.

The culinary entrepreneur said she is frequently involved in training programs and exhibitions. Through these activities, more people have become familiar with her products.

“Thank God, I have participated in several training programs organized by PT TIMAH Tbk, and they have been very beneficial. We are also supported in marketing, which helps introduce our products and has a positive impact on increasing sales,” said the owner of Stik Ikan Pak Umar, as quoted from previous coverage.

Similarly, Tina, another fostered MSME partner of PT TIMAH Tbk who produces traditional Bangka snacks, Kue Semprong, said that becoming a fostered partner has helped her products gain wider recognition. Her products are now marketed in various major cities across Indonesia.

“I have experienced many benefits after becoming a fostered partner. I received business capital to add equipment, ongoing guidance, and marketing support such as through TINS Gallery, which has made my products more widely known,” she said. (red/sumber www.timah.com).

Rapat dihadiri Ketua DPRD Babel Didit Srigusjaya, perwakilan Kejaksaan Tinggi Babel, Polda Babel, serta pengurus Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit Indonesia (Apkasindo).
